The Shroud of Turin is believed by some to be the burial shroud of Jesus Christ, featuring a faint image of a man with wounds resembling those described in the Bible.
It is housed in Turin, Italy, and has been a subject of debate regarding its authenticity. Carbon dating tests in 1988 suggested it was from the 13th or 14th century, but controversies remain.
The shroud is venerated by many as a symbol of Christ’s suffering, death, and resurrection, while others view it as a medieval artefact.
